Summary

Storyline

Scattered from his unit, Martin fights alongside whatever soldiers he can find to secure towns, silence German artillery threatening Utah Beach, and rescue captured British officers before facing German armor during the Battle of the Bulge. The British campaign puts Sergeant Jack Evans in a Horsa glider during the assault on Pegasus Bridge, then follows his transfer to the SAS for sabotage missions deep behind enemy lines, including the destruction of a restored dam and an infiltration of the battleship Tirpitz. The Soviet campaign traces Corporal Voronin from the desperate river crossing at Stalingrad, where Soviet officers execute soldiers who retreat, through the recapture of a key apartment building, and eventually forward to 1945 where he commands a tank during the advance on Berlin and storms the Reichstag to raise the victory banner.
